Design & Technique:
Lid: Features fine scrimshaw-style hand-etched artwork depicting two detailed crocodiles framing a central raised carved bone finial in the form of a reclining feline/lion.
Interior & Base: Smooth circular interior fitted with a central pin mechanism. Includes a small decorative seed token inside. The underside displays natural engine-turned / spiraled lathe tooling texture on bone.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Shows natural age-related patina, fine grain lines, and light surface wear consistent with authentic bone items. Fine stress lines present on the interior base lining (visible in photos).
